A sold price records one completed transaction. A live listing shows what a seller is asking now. Neither is automatically a market average or a promise that another copy will sell for that amount.
Reading a sale record
When a checked sale is available, the product page shows the price, sale date and a link to the sold listing. Recorded tin and ETB prices are displayed in USD. A converted price is labelled; it is a conversion of the recorded sale rather than an eBay transaction originally made in USD.
Shipping, tax and accepted-offer details can change the total a buyer paid. Follow the sold listing to inspect the evidence. If a newer matched sale has an undisclosed price, it is shown separately from the last verified price.
Reading current listings
“Buy on eBay” opens matching live offers where they are available. Prices and availability can change, and not every product has a current match. Listing prices and currencies come from the seller’s eBay listing; a displayed offer is not a historical sold price.
Compare the language, Pokémon, packaging shape, edition, pack count and whether the listing is for one product or a lot. A shared collection name does not make an eight-sided tin interchangeable with a six-sided tin, or a Pokémon Center ETB with the standard edition.
Sealed condition
Check the seller’s photos and description for factory sealing, tears, dents, resealing, missing contents and other condition issues. A “new” condition filter helps narrow the search but does not verify every detail of a seller’s description.
